peloton app

First and foremost, you can signup for a FREE 30days trial as a Peloton Digital Member. Go! Get your hands dirty and let's see if you love it!

What does the Peloton Digital Membership offer?

The Peloton Digital Membership gives you access to 20+ live classes a day and thousands of on-demand classes anywhere, anytime, with or without equipment. It includes a diverse selection of indoor cycling, running, walking, Bootcamp, strength and outdoor (audio-only) classes.

In December 2019, Peloton thought it wise to reduce the price of its membership and therefore its fitness app subscription for reasons best known to them. And was that a wise decision after all?

At $12.99/month, you can get access to a full library of live and on-demand classes where you sweat to a mix of running, strength, cycling, yoga and more in your home, at the gym and outdoors.

(Your Digital Membership will renew automatically at $12.99/month (exclusive of VAT
or other taxes) until you cancel. Cancel anytime here. No cash value.)

Peloton didn't only drop its digital membership price but it also launched Fire TV and Apple Watch apps. That was a long time overdue.

Many Peloton users were itching to use their favourite Apple watch to track and monitor their heart rate, speed and cadence during workouts.

Peloton Digital Apps for Android, Fire TV and Apple Watch

On what devices can you access the Peloton app?

The Peloton app is available on Web and for the iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Android tablets, and Fire TV.

Peloton has created clones of the digital app for different platforms and devices.

On subscriptions, if you subscribed to Peloton Digital via the official website - onepeloton.com, you can reactivate and/or cancel your membership from the Subscriptions page.

However, if you subscribed via the Apple App Store or Google Play, you can manage your account via your Apple or Google Play account.

Peloton App for android

Given that everything about the Peloton brand is high end and customer service driven, the Android app is one to be concerned with. It's great but definitely needs some work.

After several months of usage with other Peloton alternative bikes at my gym, nothing has really changed. Same old poor Android app.

Currently, the "preloaded classes" is only on iOS and as if that is not enough torture - the app itself seems to have issues. The app randomly boots users out - it buffers/cuts out right
near the end of live classes. Appalling isn't?

Peloton announced on its Blog in April 2019 about the release of an Android version. But definitely not this. Android users still get data drain if not on WiFi.

It would be a great addition if Peloton could hurry up and release other features such as the "preloaded classes" to its Android users!

"Good in a pinch, but not up to par with the iOS version. Still cannot download classes for offline viewing, which is a major disadvantage. No way to view/add followers which is the simplest of features. This app is incredibly bare-bones which couldn't be more ironic since the bike
the tablet runs Android." says one reviewer.

The Android app needs a total overhaul.

Pros

  • Great price
  • Live Classes
  • The community
  • Cult-like following
  • World-class instructors
  • That Peloton experience

Cons

  • No past workout stats
  • Not at par with iOS version
  • No ability to connect to other users.

Peloton app for Fire TV

Users could only cast classes from their mobile apps on smartphones onto a TV to partake in Peloton classes. Or otherwise, mirror/cast their favourite classes from certain Peloton equipment to a device that supports Miracast.

That was a huge pain in the rear area. Why would you go through all this stress to enjoy your morning dose of the Peloton digital goodness?

But all these are a thing of the past. Now, users can also download a new Amazon Fire TV
-specific Peloton app to access workout classes on their TVs.

Therefore, Peloton digital membership subscribers can now stream classes on TV.

There you go - our beloved Peloton hack appears once again.

Apparently, with the new Fire TV app, users can watch their favourite classes on a larger screen or use their own bike or other gym equipment with the classes.

So, our favourite Keiser M3i can fit here perfectly to bring about a similar Peloton experience you expect without breaking the bank.

Again, for all who uses the Peloton digital app with another Peloton alternative, this will be very helpful for you.

Ideally, you'd need to watch Peloton’s off-equipment classes from the screens on their bike or treadmill. But with this Fire TV app option, you can enjoy the added workouts such as yoga, meditation, or strength training that is packed into Peloton Digital.

So now, you can get the Peloton experience with the click of a remote.

Peloton app for Apple Watch

Now you can track your heart rate, pace and distance with the Peloton App on Apple Watch.

It is now easier to run with a goal-smashing playlist and guided motivation from the Peloton instructor team.

In addition to other perks on iOS devices, you get a GPS support for pace, splits and elevation metrics to track and monitor your fitness progress at a glance.

Bottom line

Now is the time to meet your goals on your terms.

With the Peloton app Cost standing at $12.99 a month, you can enjoy your favourite classes and standalone workouts with no hassle.

From the live-streamed classes and on-demand classes to the varied at-home strength workouts, yoga and guided office meditations etc..

Its never been easier to build a workout schedule that fits around your lifestyle. Filter thousands of classes by type, length, time and your favourite music. Track your progress with milestones and streaks and also get reminders.

All at a very reasonable price!
